Today’s Bible Reading & Verse

Daniel 4-5 and Hebrews 9

And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment. Hebrews 9:27

with clouds

Some day you will read in the papers that D.L. Moody of East Northfield, is dead. Don’t you believe a word of it! At that moment I shall be more alive than I am now; I shall have gone up higher, that is all, out of this old clay tenement into a house that is immortal- a body that death cannot touch, that sin cannot taint; a body fashioned like unto His glorious body. D. L. Moody

Today’s Song Story

O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing

"O For a Thousand Tongues" is one of many hymns written by Charles Wesley. He and his brother, John, became friends with a group of Moravian Christians as they returned by ship to England from the American colonies. One of the Moravian leaders was a man named Peter Bohler — a man that the Wesleys much admired for his deep faith. Bohler made the comment, "Oh, Brother Wesley, the Lord has done so much for my life. Had I a thousand tongues, I would praise Christ Jesus with every one of them." Those words inspired Wesley to write this hymn.
